Trail riding with Can-Am`s
Before You Ride:
Inspect Your Machine:
Check tire pressure and tread
Tighten lug nuts
Top off fluids (oil, coolant, brake)
Test brakes, lights, and throttle
Make sure your battery is strong
Pack Essentials:
Helmet and protective gear (goggles, gloves, boots)
First aid kit
Basic tools and tire repair kit
Tow strap, winch controller (if you have one)
Water and snacks
Fire extinguisher (required in some areas)
Know the Rules:
Ensure your Can-Am is trail-legal in the area
Carry registration/permit if required
Respect trail signage and closures
While Riding:
Ride at a Safe Speed:
Trails can change fast—rocks, roots, and blind turns come up quick
Keep Distance from Others:
Dust, rocks, and sudden braking are real hazards in a group
Use 4WD or Lockers Wisely:
Only engage when needed to avoid tearing up the trail or stressing the drivetrain
Watch for Wildlife and Other Riders:
Stay alert, especially on narrow or wooded trails
Tread Lightly:
Stay on the trail to avoid damaging the environment
After the Ride:
Wash the Machine:
Clean mud and debris to avoid corrosion or overheating issues
Check for Damage:
Look over suspension, tires, skid plates, and undercarriage
Refuel and Store Properly:
Top off the tank and store in a safe, dry place
